
Hamline Public Safety Services
The following services are provided to all Hamline University students, faculty, and staff members. The Office of Public Safety logs all services provided. You will be required to provide a Hamline ID number to use these services. Hamline Public Safety may be reached by calling 651-523-2100 or by stopping by our office in Sorin Hall, near the bookstore, at 1535 Englewood Avenue.
Access Requests
Professors can request after-hours access to classrooms or laboratories for students by using the following process:

Electronic Card Access
To add any building access to your ID card, an Electronic Card Access Form must be completed and signed by your supervisor, then turned in to the Public Safety office.

Services
The following services are available for Hamline Community members:
- Walking escorts are available within campus.
- Jump Starts are available for Hamline Community member vehicles parked on campus.
- Vehicle unlocks are available for Hamline Community member registered vehicles on campus.
Call the Office of Public Safety at 651-523-2100 to request any of these services.
Hamline ID/Key Generation
The Hamline Public Safety office creates and supervises the creation and use of ID cards and keys on campus. If an ID card or specific key is needed, the appropriate form needs to be filled out at the Public Safety office. Replacements for ID cards incur a $25 charge that must be paid via a student’s account or at the Cashier’s office.
The Hamline Public Safety office also grants proxy card access across campus. To gain card access to an area, the appropriate form needs to be filled out at the Public Safety office
Lost and Found
If you lose anything, stop by the Public Safety office to see if it has been turned in. If you find anything that has been lost, please bring it to us.
