Hamline Athletics and Campus Recreation
Hamline Pipers take to the field, ice, court, and more on 22 NCAA DIII varsity teams, 20 of which compete in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC). Or, join one (or more) of dozens of intramural and club teams covering nearly every sport. Whether you’re a seasoned player or want to try something new, Hamline has plenty of opportunities to play and stay active.

Attend a game
You collaborate with your friends in class—now cheer for them on the field. Pipers compete on 22 NCAA teams and even more intramural sports, so there's never a dull moment. What are you waiting for? Grab a foam finger and show your spirit!
The community of athletics is definitely strong. That was a big draw for coming here. I thought, 'These people are going to be my friends no matter what.'"
Premium fields for top-tier teams
Hamline athletes don't just compete at the top of their field—they also practice and play in some of the premier facilities in Minnesota. From skating on Tria Rink, home of the Minnesota Wild, to hitting the bases with the Saint Paul Saints at CHS field, Pipers are leaders in their sports every season.
