We understand funding a college education is a challenge for most of our students, and our international undergraduate students are no exception. At Hamline, we’re committed to ensuring you receive a competitive financial aid package. Our goal is to put you and your family at ease, allowing you to focus on your studies and have an incredible college experience.
When you submit your application, you’ll automatically be considered for our Hamline International Excellence Award worth up to $25,000 per year.

Financial aid options for international undergraduate students
We offer incoming international students a variety of scholarships based on academic performance, talent across areas of study, and United Methodist affiliation. Students also have an opportunity to apply for outside scholarships, work-study programs, grants, and loans. Hamline does not reduce scholarship and grant dollars if a student receives outside or private dollars.

Financial documentation requirements
The US Government requires us to examine financial documentation from all international students. Please be sure to complete the , which is part of the Hamline admission process. We’ve requested documentary evidence that must be included when you submit your application.
To complete the Affidavit of Financial Support requirement, please send bank letters and/or official letters from your sponsor(s) to the Office of Undergraduate Admission.
