Develop yourself as a performing artist with a minor in music performance

Open to students of all majors, Hamline's Music Performance Minor focuses on developing the specialized skills you need on your instrument, voice or in composition through private lessons, performance opportunities and ensemble participation. You'll also explore the business side of music, learning marketing techniques and teaching methods to become a well-rounded artist-entrepreneur.

The music performance minor is an interdisciplinary minor, which means that courses are taught by faculty across a number of departments. You’ll learn about other fields of study and work with faculty outside of your major, including faculty in the following areas:
