• Merit & Leadership Scholarships for Graduate Students

    Hamline School of Education offers a academic merit and leadership scholarships to incoming students admitted in the following programs:

    • M.A. in Education
    • M.A. in Education: Natural Sciences and Environmental Education
    • M.A. in Literacy Education
    • M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages

    Academic Merit Scholarships

    $1,500

    Incoming students to the master’s programs in education, natural science and environmental education, literacy education, and teaching English to speakers of other languages programs, who can demonstrate outstanding records of academic achievement are eligible to apply for an academic merit scholarship.

    Leadership Scholarships

    $1,500

    Incoming students who have exceptional records of leadership accomplishments and demonstrate areas for potential growth in the field of education, and who are enrolled in a qualifying master’s program, are eligible to apply for a leadership scholarship.

    Application Deadlines

    Eligible students should apply at the same time that they apply for admission to the program or no later than:

    • August 10 for fall semester
    • January 10 for spring semester
    • May 10 for summer semester

    Priority consideration is given to those who apply early.

    Students must be admitted to the program in order to have their scholarship application reviewed.
