  1. Sign up for the required SOAR.
  2. Read and complete the pre-registration steps outlined in the Orientation Information and Registration Guide (PDF) included in the registration packet that is sent to all new first-year students. This guidebook will provide important pre-registration steps you should take now to ensure you are prepared to register at SOAR.
  3. Review the first-year seminar course descriptions (PDF).
  4. Download a copy of the first-year student registration worksheet (PDF).
  5. Familiarize yourself with the resources listed on our current student resources page.
  6. Review CASA's frequently asked questions.

CASA professional advisors, faculty advisors, and Hamline staff will be available at SOAR to help you choose your classes and answer questions.

Students entering Hamline University in the spring as first-year students may register beginning Thursday, November 17, 2022.

The Center for Academic Success and Achievement (CASA) recommends that you make an appointment with a CASA advisor once you have deposited. Call 651-523-2912 or schedule a CASA appointment online.

Before your appointment, take the following steps to ensure a successful registration:

Once you submit your registration via Hamline Workday Student, CASA will review your course selections. If we have questions or concerns, we will call and email you. Alternatively, if your course selections look appropriate, we will email you and tell you that your registration is complete. Once your registration is complete, a “registration hold” is placed on your schedule. Once in place, you may make schedule changes by contacting CASA.

Please contact us if you have any questions, and welcome to Hamline!
