    Moving to Workday Student

    Hamline's transition from Piperline to Workday Student will happen in stages, so not everything will continue to be available or updated in both places. Here is a guide that shows where to go - Workday or Piperline - for current information from now until September. Please note:

    • Registration for summer 2021 courses is in Piperline only
    • Registration for fall 2021 courses is in Workday only

  • Registration & Records

    • Our office - Student Administrative Services, East Hall 113, is open 9am - 5pm Monday through Friday. Although we are open, please continue to communicate with us by email when possible: registrar@hamline.edu.
    • Important dates - Please refer to the full Academic Calendar for a comprehensive list of dates including term start and end, registration add/drop/withdraw, final exams, and more.
    • Course modality - We have created a blend of in-person, hybrid, and distance learning to ensure a rigorous learning experience that takes into consideration the negative impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. In the Workday course listing, you will see four "Delivery Modes" - In-Person (fully in person), Online (fully online), Hybrid (some in-person class meetings combined with online content and/or online class meetings), and Blended (some students are in-person and some are remote on different meeting dates). Please see the Academic Year 2020-2021 Course Modality Information for specific details about course modality through summer 2021 as listed in Piperline.
    • Social distancing in classrooms - For courses that will be meeting in person, all of the time or part of the time, we have re-envisioned campus spaces and converted large spaces into classrooms to ensure appropriate social distancing. You will find that your classrooms hold fewer students than you are used to in order to adhere to State of Minnesota social distancing guidelines. 
    • Forms and documents - All forms and documents should be sent from your Hamline email account to registrar@hamline.edu. Here are specific instructions:
      • To fill out an electronic form, make a copy of the Google doc. Once you have made a copy, you will be able to add your information.
      • Email approvals can be used in place of signatures on documents. If you are submitting anything that requires approval, please forward the email approvals with your document.
