Each spring, Student Activities and Leadership Development organizes a week of dynamic and engaging leadership development programs and activities designed for students at all levels of leadership experience.

Discovering Your Strengths

Monday, March 18 | 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. | Anderson 111

Do you know that people who know and capitalize on their strengths are six times more likely to be engaged in their careers and report a high quality of life? Through this assessment and workshop, you will develop a better understanding of the things you are great at and reflect on how you can tie them into your time in college and into your future career.

Day at the Capitol

Tuesday, March 19 | 8:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. | MN State Capitol

Meet with your legislators at the State Capitol in Saint Paul alongside other student advocates to ask your legislators to support the Minnesota State Grant program — a program that directly supports low- and middle-income college students. Join us for an exciting day of advocacy training and meaningful conversations with your legislators.

Hamline Day of Reading

Tuesday, March 19 | 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. | Anderson 112

Join the Hamline School of Education and Leadership, The Center for Gender + Sexualities, and the Hamline University Programming Board for an educational panel and book giveaway focused on supporting LGBTQIA+ students through their educational experiences and beyond.

Student Org Leadership Transitions Workshop

Wednesday, March 20 | 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. | Anderson 111

Are you a student organization officer? If so, this time of year is very important for the future success of your student organization. Join Student Activities and Leadership Development and the Hamline University Leadership Club to learn best practices for transitioning your organization's leadership for next year. Desserts will be served.

Women in Leadership Trivia

Wednesday, March 20 | 6 to 8 p.m. | GLC 100E

Join Hamline University Leadership Club for a fun and challenging trivia game focused on women in leadership. Snacks and prizes will be provided. No registration is required.

Women’s History Month Speaker

Thursday, March 21 | 6 to 8 p.m. | Anderson 304

Join the Center for Gender + Sexualities and Change the Narrative for a Women’s History Month keynote speech centered on the intersections between climate change, feminism, and social justice. No registration is required.
