Internships & Careers
The Legal Studies Department offers a major in Legal Studies, as well as an American Bar Association (ABA) approved Paralegal Certificate program. Because Hamline is a small university affiliated with Mitchell Hamline School of Law, we offer unique opportunities for students interested in law.
Career Development Center
Hamline University has a full service Career Development Center where you can learn more about career paths and transferable skills. The Center provides many excellent opportunities from resume help to job search strategies. Students and graduates may access current internship and job openings on Hamline Career Link.
Paralegal Internship
All students in Hamline University’s Paralegal Certificate program must enroll in LGST 5900 (Legal Studies Practicum) and complete a 150-hour paralegal internship in an approved law firm or legal environment of their choice. If you are an employer interested in hosting a Hamline paralegal intern, you may contact our Career Development Center for more information.
