Pre-Law Program
Hamline provides a unique combination of opportunities for students interested in attending law school. Our Legal Studies Department offers a major, minor, an American Bar Association-approved paralegal certificate, and a Master in the Study of Law all of which provide students with a strong foundation for pursuing further study in law. We also have a nationally competitive mock-trial program and many other opportunities for students to learn through doing, including service-learning and internships. Law schools want students with strong writing, speaking, and problem-solving skills, which students develop throughout all of our undergraduate programs.
For questions about Hamline's pre-law resources, contact Professor Stephen Arnott at 651-523-2582 or email sarnott01@hamline.edu.

Since I started saying 'I'm studying at Hamline,' jobs and internships have been calling me back. At every law firm I've seen, at least one lawyer graduated from Hamline. It's so motivating to connect with people professionally because you came from the same school."
