Welcome, transfer students!
We get it—you already know the ropes and understand what it’s like to be a college student. Still, every campus is different, and we want to ensure you receive any support you may need during your transition to Hamline.
Our staff is here to help you navigate a new campus with new policies, procedures, and culture. We can answer questions about your transfer credits, financial aid, and academic advising and help you jump into life at Hamline.

Your Next Steps
1. Submit your deposit to confirm your enrollment
Submit your nonrefundable $400 enrollment deposit. This deposit is credited toward your first-semester tuition and is not a separate fee. Use your application account information to log in and submit your deposit.

2. Apply for financial aid
Your financial aid package from Hamline University may consist of merit scholarships, talent scholarships, and need-based grants, loans, or work options. If you have any questions, your admission counselor can help guide you through the financial aid process.
3. Reserve your on-campus housing
New students who have paid the $400 enrollment deposit will receive emailed instructions for completing the online housing application. Housing and dining contracts are available starting in April for students beginning the fall term and in December for students starting in the spring.
4. Submit your official final transcripts and test scores
Transcripts must be official and should be sent from college or university directly to Hamline. Transcripts can be sent electronically or mailed by your school to Hamline. If you sent your transcript earlier and anticipate completing another term at your current institution, please send your updated transcripts to Hamline so we may evaluate them for course equivalencies.
6. Submit your immunization records
Per Hamline University’s Immunization Policy, Hamline students must satisfy vaccination requirements. Students need to upload an official immunization record that includes legal name, date of birth and dates of administered immunizations. Failure to comply will result in a registration hold on their account.

Transfer Time (T-Time) Events
During the first week of every month, Hamline hosts an event just for transfer students. During "Transfer Time" you'll be able to connect with other transfer students and important student services.
During T-Time events, we encourage you to drop in at any time to chat and get information about things happening across campus. Snacks and refreshments are provided. We can't wait to see you there!
