Transfer courses are automatically reviewed for Hamline Plan letters. However, if the fulfillment of a letter isn't clear from the course description alone, we're happy to review additional materials. Here's how to request further review:
- First, read the Hamline Plan Learning Outcomes in the Bulletin to confirm the course met each of the outcomes described.
- Obtain a syllabus (or relevant course materials such as lab lists or calendars) from the term you were enrolled in the course, and send it to transferarticulation@hamline.edu. If you no longer have a copy, contact the institution or instructor directly.
- In your email, specify which Hamline Plan letter(s) you're requesting review for. It helps to point out where in the course materials the Learning Outcomes were addressed.
Please note: HP W, Q, P, and at least one O must be completed at Hamline; they cannot be transferred into Hamline. Course equivalency and Hamline Plan letters are evaluated separately. A course may be considered equivalent in subject matter without satisfying the specific learning outcomes required for a Hamline Plan letter.
