Professor Lund Contributed to Museum of Russian Art Exhibition

The Hamline community is cordially invited to the exhibition "Alexey Brodovitch: Designer of the Avant-Garde" currently on display at The Museum of Russian Art in Minneapolis.

Curt Lund, assistant professor of digital media arts, served as Consulting Curator for the exhibition; the works on display are drawn exclusively from Lund's collection of Brodovitch's work. Lund also contributed to the exhibition design and didactic texts.

The theme of this exhibition has been a central subject of Lund's design history scholarship for several years; his research focuses on Brodovitch's early career in Paris (1920-30) and Philadelphia (1930-37). The exhibition includes paintings, etchings, lithographs, posters, photography, book illustrations, and commercial advertisements, several of which have never-before been publicly shown, including two of Brodovitch's earliest known extant works from 1922.

The exhibition will be on display through October 24, 2021. For more information, visit here.
