Voter Registration Challenge

Hamline President Fayneese Miller has issued a 'register to vote' challenge from Hamline to other local Minnesota private colleges! President Miller challenged the presidents of Augsburg, Macalester, St. Thomas and St. Kate's to register to vote as many Minnesota students on their campuses as possible. If Hamline has the most Minnesota student voter registrations, as judged by the results of the Minnesota College Ballot Bowl, President Miller will donate an additional $5,000 to Hamline student scholarships.

In order to help The Wesley Center for Spirituality, Service, and Social Justice will have a voter information table at Anderson Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays during convo hour through Election Day on November 8. There, students can check their eligibility to register in Minnesota or their home state, receive information about how to register at the polls on Election Day, and get information about the races and issues they will be voting on. If anyone would like to help at the table, please contact Caleb Overgaard at covergaard02@hamline.edu for information.

Information about the Minnesota College Ballot Bowl competition can be found on the website for theĀ Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State, or by emailing Michael Wall at the Office of Secretary of State.
