• Admitted Students for Fall 2015

    Congratulations -- you’ve been admitted to Hamline! Here’s where you’ll find everything you need to know about being a Piper, from upcoming events to registering for classes to residential life.     The Essentials

    Consider your Financial Aid Package Your financial aid package from Hamline University consists of merit scholarships, talent scholarships (requiring separate applications) and your need-based aid (requiring you file the FAFSA once your family's 2014 taxes are completed). Your admission counselor is happy to walk-through the process with you. Contact the Hamline University Office of Undergraduate Admission at 651-523-2207 for more information.

    Submit your Deposit to confirm your enrollment at Hamline. The $400 deposit may be mailed or paid online. This goes toward your first semester's tuition and is NOT a separate fee.  You may submit your deposit online through Piperline, using the ID and PIN that has been sent to you.   Contact the Hamline University ITS Help Desk, 651-523-2220 or itshelp@hamline.edu, if you have misplaced your login information.

    Visit campus again April 11 and April 18 will be this year's Admitted Student Days.  Consider attending one of these engaging events, which are offered to help you make the best college decision for you.  If that doesn't work, set up a personalized visit just for you!  Several other on-campus events will be hosted throughout the year for your convenience.     Piper Preview is the first of two mandatory orientation programs for first-year students (this is where students register for classes). After students make their deposit to Hamline they will receive an email which indicates they are able to register for this orientation by clicking any of the available dates below. You may attend any ONE of the following Piper Preview sessions:

    Piper Preview I: Friday, June 12th- Saturday, June 13th

    Piper Preview II: Monday, June 29th- Tuesday, June 30th

    Piper Preview III: Wednesday, July 8th- Thursday, July 9th

    Piper Preview IV: Tuesday, July 14th- Wednesday, July 15th

    Piper Preview V: Wednesday, July 22nd- Thursday, July 23rd

    Piper Preview VI: Thursday, July 30th- Friday, July 31st

    Parents and Guardians are highly encouraged to attend the Parent Preview that takes places in conjunction with the students program. The Parent program is a great way to gain more information on resources for you and your students, meet other parents, and connect with the Hamline Community! This program is from 10am-5pm on Day 1 and begins again on Day 2 at 9:30am. Students are required to stay on campus. Parents should make other arrangements. As soon as students have finished registering for their classes on day 2 they are free to check out of their room for the night, get their ID picture, and meet up with their parents.  Please contact Orientation and First Year Programs at (651) 523-2638 or firstyear@hamline.edu with any questions or concerns.

    Piper Passages is the second mandatory orientation program for all new students at Hamline. Piper Passages will take place on campus September 6-8. Come meet current student leaders, develop new friendships, learn your way around campus, meet with a faculty advisor, and get your questions answered.  Watch for email communications as we approach the fall semester.

    Immunizations: Incoming students must submit immunization records through Piperline.  Please note that required immunizations include: measles, mumps, rubella (MMR), tetanus and diphtheria.  A tetanus and diphtheria vaccination must be current within the last ten years. If immunization requirements are not met a registration hold will be placed on the student's account. Please contact the students' admission counselor with any questions.

    Housing information is emailed to all deposited students around April 1.  The email will include information outlining Roommate Finder and the housing application process.  Once you receive the information, feel free to begin the process. July 15 is the due date for selecting a roommate.  Housing assignments will be made after July 15.  Housing assignments and roommate contact information will be available August 1.

    Apply for your loans by July 15 if you plan to utilize a loan to help finance your education.  Please visit the Student Loan Programs website for help.  

    Technology for learning at Hamline includes Piperline, Blackboard, your Hamline email account, and more. Find information specifically for new students about essential applications and technology resources on campus.
