Hamline Recognized by U.S. News and World Report

Hamline University has received the top rating among Minnesota regional universities in findings issued Monday by U.S. News and World Report.

The publication, which ranks American colleges and universities annually, listed Hamline 15th in the Midwest among regional universities — and top in Minnesota. Hamline’s regional ranking rose two spots from 2019.

Additionally, Hamline was ranked top among Minnesota regional universities by the publication both as a “Best Value” institution as well as a veteran-friendly school.

“To receive such recognition, especially in this time of pandemic and upheaval, is incredibly satisfying and a wonderful tribute to everyone who helps make Hamline the great university it is,” President Fayneese Miller said. “We have made numerous adjustments and changes over the last year to continue to provide a quality education for students that meets our academic standards, and this recognition is proof that we have succeeded.”

In addition to the top ranking in Minnesota, Hamline also rated:

Sixth regionally among Innovative Schools (second in Minnesota)
Ninth regionally among Best Colleges for Veterans (top in Minnesota)
14th regionally as a Best Value school (top in Minnesota)
15th regionally in Undergraduate Teaching (second in Minnesota)
22nd regionally in Social Mobility (fifth in Minnesota)
