Pipers Win in the Classroom

Classes were remote and sports seasons were canceled, yet Hamline students persisted and succeeded in their educational journeys this spring.

As President Miller said to students in a recent letter to campus, "You showed that you have grit, are tenacious, and are committed to learning."

A total of 120 Hamline students were named to the School of Business Dean's List and  688 undergraduate students were named to the College of Liberal Arts Dean's List for the Spring 2020 semester. To qualify, students must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher and maintain a full course load. These numbers are similar and in fact, slightly higher, than previous years.

Piper athletes came up big during the last semester as well!

Seventy Hamline University student-athletes were named to the Minnestota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Winter/Spring 2020 Academic All-Conference teams.

Fourteen members of the Hamline Women’s Gymnastics team have been recognized for their academic achievements by the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC). Student-athletes competing in the conference achieved a 3.00 grade point average or better (on a 4.00 scale).

Seventeen Pipers were named to the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference (MWLC) All-Academic Team. To be named a member of the MWLC All-Academic Team, recipients must carry a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 for the 2019-20 academic year.
