Stein '10 Returns to Read to Students

Crystal L. Stein ’10, Founder and CEO of Beret Publishing, captivated the audience at the Anderson Center on May 5 with a reading from her groundbreaking children’s book series, Echoes of Excellence

Stein leads Beret Publishing, an innovative omnichannel publishing house dedicated to reimagining how stories are told. Through books, music, and media, Beret creates multisensory experiences—including Beret Books, which integrate poetry, art, music, and Braille—making stories accessible to all children, including those who are blind or visually impaired.

Echoes of Excellence, the inaugural collection from Beret Publishing, celebrates the lives and legacies of historically overlooked composers and artists of color, bringing their brilliance to a new generation. Students are engaged in an environment where accessibility and inclusion are central to the learning experience.

“We make sure that children of all races, creeds, and colors can see themselves in greatness—and remember that music is a universal language,” said Stein.
