Lund Consults on Philadelphia Design History Exhibition

A graphic design history exhibition including 20 works from the collection of Curt Lund, associate professor in Hamline’s Digital + Studio Arts department, is now open at the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia.  “Alexey Brodovitch: Astonish Me” profiles Brodovitch’s work and influence as a designer, photographer, and magazine art director during the 1920s-50s. Lund served as research consultant and lender for the exhibition, working with curator Katy Wan (Tate Modern, London) and assistant curator Dr. Corrinne Chong (Barnes Foundation). Works from Lund’s collection of Brodovitch prints, paintings, and commercial designs have previously been exhibited at The Museum of Russian Art in Minneapolis and the Goldstein Museum of Design in St. Paul. The exhibition runs through May 19; more information is available at: https://www.barnesfoundation.org/brodovitch-astonish-me
