Update from the June 26 and 28, 2023 Meetings of the Acting/Interim President Search Committee

The Acting/Interim Presidential Search Committee engaged in listening sessions on the afternoon of Monday, June 26 to various stakeholder groups regarding what they considered the key qualifications, characteristics and skills required of the next acting/interim president. Groups solicited for input included faculty council, Hamline University Staff Association, Hamline University Student Congress, the President’s Leadership Team and the Alumni Board. The Search Committee then reconvened on Wednesday, June 28 to determine the selection criteria for the acting/interim president and to finalize the position profile. The profile is now posted at Acting/Interim Presidential Search | Hamline University - MN. We ask the Hamline University community to share the position profile with potential candidates for this role. We are seeking someone who has a deep commitment to the future of Hamline University and brings exceptional organizational and financial leadership skills with a proven track record in leading change. Non-traditional candidates from outside the field of higher education are welcome to apply although knowledge of the landscape of higher education is important.

The search committee will meet on July 20 and August 2 to review letters of interest and determine which candidates to move forward for initial interviews. For greatest consideration, applications need to be received by August 1.
