Hamline Office Olympics Tradition

Starting in 2010, Hamline University student workers have come together every April to compete for bragging rights in a series of inter-office games. In the “Office Olympics” different departments send groups of six students to compete for a chance to win the gold. Some of the many challenges that Pipers have competed in over the years include the office chair relay, the recycling paper toss, and the envelope-stuffing marathon.

The Office Olympics are designed to complement the celebrations that the individual Hamline offices have for Student Worker Appreciation Week and to allow students to have a little fun. Human Resources hosts and sponsors the games every year along with a ceremony the same week to celebrate students nominated for the Outstanding Student Employee awards.
