The Value of a Hamline Education

President Linda N. Hanson presented about the value of a Hamline education before the Minnesota Senate Higher Education and Workforce Development Committee meeting, chaired by Senator Terri Bonoff, on January 27. This was part of the committee's work to understand and address challenges such as the skills gap, racial and economic disparities in education, degree completion, tuition cost and student debt in Minnesota's education system. The Minnesota Private College Council (MPCC) was asked to present the perspective of the private, nonprofit education sector. In addition to President Hanson, MPCC President Paul Cerkvenik, and representatives from Augsburg College and Bethany Lutheran provided testimony and answered questions. The University of Minnesota and Minnesota State Colleges and Universities presented later that week. You can watch President Hanson's entire testimony in the video below.
