Homecoming and Alumni Week

Homecoming Week isn't just for alumni; it's also a time when current students go the extra mile to show their school spirit and celebrate the Hamline community. This year, Homecoming and Alumni Week was held from September 28 through October 6.

2026 Events

Below are some of the events enjoyed by the Hamline community during our 2026 Homecoming and Alumni Week.

Golden Egg Hunt

Each day of Homecoming Week, a golden egg was hidden somewhere on campus. The student who returned the egg won a great prize!

Sand Volleyball Tournament

Students and alumni bumped, set, and spiked their way to Homecoming glory at the first annual Homecoming Sand Volleyball Tournament!

Popsicles with the President

Dr. Hostetter was excited to meet as many students as possible, and to give out Homecoming t-shirts, swag, and free popsicles!

Goat Yoga

The Peer Wellness Educators hosted Goat Yoga, a fun, low-pressure way to de-stress, get moving, and hang out with friends.

Movie on the Lawn

Students and alumni laid their blankets out on DSC Lawn and enjoyed the movie, "Hocus Pocus."

DIY Piper Pride

Pipers past and present showed their pride by decorating a variety of custom merchandise.

Homecoming Lip Sync Competition

One of Hamline's most popular campus traditions! Students and alumni competed for cash prizes or rooted for their friends.

Homecoming Fall Fest

A pre-game party featuring food trucks, inflatables, music, yard games, and photo booth fun!

Homecoming Football Game vs. Macalester

Pipers united to cheer on their team as they went head to head against the Scots!

Writers Go to the Movies

This year's Writers Go to the Movies featured Hamline MFA alum and author Will McGrath in conversation with Heavyweight podcast host Jonathan Goldstein, followed by a screening of Rushmore.

Anderson After Dark

Anderson Center was transformed into the ultimate entertainment hub!
