Hamline Recognized by Community Action

Community Action thanked the 56 Hamline students who volunteered as a part of the LEAP into St. Paul program in their December issue of Straight Talk. LEAP into St. Paul is a program organized through the Wesley Center, designed to introduce first-year students to the civic engagement possibilities in their community. Community Action Partnership of Ramsey & Washington Counties (Community Action) was established in 1964 as a program of the War on Poverty. As the only continuously funded anti-poverty program in the country, their mission is to reduce poverty and its impact on people in Ramsey and Washington counties.
