February CLE Program Focuses on U.S. Military’s "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" Policy


Dr. Melissa Sheridan Embser-Herbert `04, author of The U.S. Military's 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' Policy: A Reference Handbook (Greenwood Publishing Group, 2007), will speak at the alumni CLE luncheon on February 21, 2008 at noon.

Dr. Embser-Herbert, a 2004 graduate of Hamline University School of Law, is a veteran of the U.S. Army and Army Reserve and currently is professor and chair of the department of sociology at Hamline University. Her previous publications include Camouflage Isn't Only for Combat: Gender, Sexuality, and Women in the Military and Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes: Is There a Role for Canadian Jurisprudence in Ending Discrimination in the U.S. Military.
