    Summer Writing Workshop

Held at Hamline University’s Saint Paul campus, writers work with nationally known authors in fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction. This year’s workshop faculty included authors Amy Fusselman, Sabina Murray, and Virgil Suárez. The workshop is open to students in Hamline’s Master of Fine Arts programs and community members with a bachelor’s degree.

    Hamline Young Writers Workshop

Hamline has made the difficult decision to cancel all high school summer camps, including the Young Writers Workshop, to keep you and our community safe. We're just as disappointed as you are, so we encourage you to apply again next year!

If you've already registered, we'll contact you via email.

High school writers spend a week each summer working with published authors on poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, or college essay writing on Hamline University’s Saint Paul campus. Young writers learn from Hamline’s experienced faculty, as well as visiting authors, about the writing life, careers, craft, and more while exploring the Twin Cities.
