Kelly Krebs Named Director of Online Degree Completion Program at Hamline University

Hamline University has selected Kelly Krebs as the new Director of the Online Degree Completion (ODC) Program.

Krebs helped launch the ODC program and took on the role of Online Navigator as the program began. He brings twenty-one years of experience serving students of Hamline University to his new position.

“Kelly’s understanding of this institution and dedication to guiding students through their educational journeys made him a perfect fit for the leadership of ODC,” said Assistant Provost Caroline Hilk.

As the former Director of Community College Outreach and Transfer Student Success, Krebs knows how to foster academic success among students and understands the challenges some may face.

“So many of them are non-traditional students - often a bit older, working full-time, and sometimes parents and caregivers,” said Krebs. “These are the students for whom the ODC program was created.”

Hamline University’s ODC program serves students with an associate’s degree or some previous college credits. The program provides a customized online pathway for each student to complete a bachelor’s degree in business or psychology.

Krebs started at Hamline University in July 2000. He has served as Director of Community College Outreach and Transfer Student Success, Director of Student Activities & Leadership Development and as Assistant Dean for Graduate Programs in the CLA. He earned his B.A. in music and speech communication from the University of Minnesota-Morris and his Master of Education in Higher Ed Administration from the University of Louisville.
