Coach Darwitz Named to Minnesota Sports Hall of Fame

On March 3, Natalie Darwitz, coach of the Hamline University women's hockey team, scored another recognition for her many accomplishments on the ice when she was inducted into the Minnesota Sports Hall of Fame with the class of 2020.

The Minnesota Sports Hall of Fame includes over 70 Minnesota athletes who have contributed to the state's sports legacy, including Rod Carew, Herb Brooks, Randy Moss, and Kirby Puckett, among others.

In addition to her most recent honor, Darwitz was named to the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame in 2018 and, in 2019, she entered the Minnesota State High School League Hall of Fame.

Darwitz began coaching at Hamline in 2015 and guided the Pipers to the Division III Frozen Four in 2018 and 2019.
