Pipers Can Participate in Esports Tournament

The Hamline Esports Team is helping to organize the Minnesota Collegiate Games: Summer 2020 (ESPORTS) and they are also competing in the two-day collegiate esports tournament for Minnesota colleges and universities.

Hamline students can be a part of this historic event in three ways:

1) Watch the live stream for the tournament that will be produced completely by students. To do this, tune into the live stream on June 5 and 6 (https://www.twitch.tv/hamlineesports); we anticipate live streaming 10 to 12 hours each day.

2) Play! Compete with other Hamline students against other Minnesota college or university students for Hamline's glory.

3) You can also choose to be involved as a paid event announcer, apply via email to esports@hamline.edu (limited spots). There will be more than $1,000 worth of prizes given out to the winning teams.

The four game titles that will be played are Rocket League, League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (duos).

If you would like to recruit a team and learn more about esports at Hamline, go to https://discord.gg/3G7QTpt, where you can learn about Hamline's other players.

If you already have a team (2-5 players depending on game) go to https://discord.gg/zZhGkeZ, where you can get more information about the event (including how to sign-up) and represent Hamline.

And when you are ready to watch the event live, go to https://www.twitch.tv/hamlineesports.

We look forward to seeing Hamline compete. If you have any questions, reach out to esports@hamline.edu.
