Erin Entrada Kelly Joins MFAC Faculty


Erin Entrada Kelly is a New York Times bestselling and award-winning author of multiple books for children. Her novel Hello, Universe won the 2018 Newbery Medal. In 2017 The Land of Forgotten Girls won the 2017 APALA Award, and her novel Blackbird Fly won the 2016 Golden Kite Honor Award. Her novel Lalani of the Distant Sea received six starred reviews and was named the best books of the year by New York Public Library, The Horn Book, Booklist, Book Page, and others.

Hello, Universe is being adapted by Netflix, and You Go First is being adapted for the stage.
Her next book, We Dream of Space, released on May 5, 2020.

Erin has a bachelor's degree in women's studies and liberal arts from McNeese State University and an MFA from Rosemont College. She lives in Delaware.

Erin is mestiza and identifies as Filipina-American.
