Professor Lifeng Dong Presented to MN Electrochemical Society

Lifeng Dong, professor and the Emma K. and Carl R. N. Malmstrom Endowed Chair in Physics, gave an invited presentation at the 2018 Electrochemistry Symposium in Minnesota. His talk “Design and Synthesis of Carbon-based Functional Materials for Energy Conversation and Storage” focused on how to develop new materials for next generation solar cells, fuel cells, batteries and supercapacitors.

Professor Dong is currently working with his colleagues and local experts to host two high school summer camps to give students the opportunity to dive into a topic, gain hands-on experience, meet experts in the field and learn about Minnesota companies that take the lead.
