Hamline Heroes Took Over CHS Field

On Saturday, July 27, Hamline heroes took over CHS Field for the Hamline-sponsored superhero night at the Saints. Students and staff attended the game to cheer on the Saints, participate in Saints in-game promotions, and hand out some Piper swag.

As guests entered the field, they were greeted with a Hamline cape and were able to play “Who’s your Favorite Ham Hero?” at the Hamline booth. By the first inning, caped Pipers paraded around the concourse. Even Saints mascot Mudonna donned a Hamline cape as she took to the field.

The game kicked off with a pitch from hockey hero and coach of the Hamline women’s hockey team Natalie Darwitz. Serving as the Hamline women’s hockey coach, Darwitz has led the Pipers for three years. This year, she led the women’s hockey team to the NCAA semi-finals for the first time in Hamline history and was named to the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame.

Don’t miss the next Hamline night at the Saints, celebrating science and Isaac Newton’s 375th birthday, on August 18. The next game will come with even more Hamline pride and will feature special guest Professor Bruce Bolon. Tickets are available on the Saints website.
