School of Education Faculty Present at Teaching with Technology Conference

Four faculty members in the Hamline School of Education were among the presenters at the Innovate! Teaching with Technology Conference, June 13-14, at the University of Minnesota Morris.

Vivian Johnson and Trish Harvey presented on "Digital Tools for Engaging and Collaborative Assessment." Harvey also made a separate presentation on "Exploring Digital Concept Maps and Infographics to Engage and Assess Students."

Maggie Struck, Jennifer Carlson and Harvey teamed up for a presentation on "Feeling Real: Social Presence within Online Discussion Forums." They shared the results of a semester-long research project investigating how to build community in an online setting.

The two-day conference focused on K-12 and college educators, as well as technology leaders, to discuss important issues and innovations related to technology in the classroom, including effective and innovative uses of technology.
