New Focus and Name for International and Off-Campus Programs Office

The International and Off-Campus Programs office announces its transition to a full service Global Engagement Center starting this summer. This exciting new change builds on Hamline’s already strong commitment to international learning experiences and cross-cultural communication.

In the short term, the center will continue to provide excellent services to domestic and international faculty, staff, and students, providing focused opportunities for learning and growth both in the U.S. and beyond. In the long-term, the center will begin to offer expanded services and programming for these populations including, but not limited to, international student recruitment, career and job placement advising and other counseling options for international students, grant writing assistance for student research overseas, and sponsoring/planning events and programs to emphasize and develop cross-cultural understanding between international and domestic faculty, staff, and students.

Please contact the center's director, Kari Richtsmeier, with ideas and reflections on the expanded role for this newly-named center.
