Excellence in Teaching and Dean's Leadership Awards

The School of Business announces:

Excellence in Teaching award 

The annual Excellence in Teaching Award recognizes the instructional contribution of faculty members to the School of Business. Each year one full-time and one part-time faculty member are recognized for their excellence in contributing to the teaching mission of Hamline University. Student nominations are reviewed by the School’s Faculty Personnel Committee along with teaching evaluations and other evidence of teaching excellence in making the final selection. Criteria include:  having a positive and inspiring effect on students; being involved extensively with students; setting high expectations for student performance; being available outside of class; and demonstrating excellent teaching. 

The 2013 Excellence in Teaching award recipients:  

Nancy Webber, Instructor, full-time  

John Winstandley, Instructor part-time 

Dean’s Leadership award: The Dean’s Leadership award recognizes extraordinary service to the School of Business by faculty and staff.  These awards are given to show appreciation for people who go above and beyond.
