A Blueprint to End Poverty

Honorary Professor of Practice in the Hamline School of Business, Jim Scheibel wrote a Community Voices article in MinnPost about his class of graduate students who have created a blueprint to end poverty.

The main points in the framework to end homelessness are to build wealth through equal opportunities and resources; provide affordable and safe housing; expand education and job training; ensure services and support services through the availability of health care, counseling, skills training, and chemical dependency counseling; and creating a community that understands that the improvement in the lives of individuals is an improvement in the community of the whole.
