Service volunteering

Step into our legacy of service

The moment you step through our doors, you'll find countless opportunities for service programs and a community of leaders unified in their belief in giving back. From partnerships with local organizations to student-led initiatives, come find the service that's right for you.

Community service and volunteer opportunities

We offer support for students and student organizations who seek to engage in community service. Visit the Wesley Center or schedule an appointment to learn more about community partners and community service opportunities.

You can also find ways to get involved on the Career Development Center's Handshake database for jobs, internships, and volunteer opportunities. Log in to your Handshake account using your Hamline email address and password to access the most recent postings.

Trouble logging into Handshake? Contact the Career Development Center by phone or email at 651-523-2302 or workshop@hamline.edu.

McVay Youth Partnership

The McVay Youth Partnership is an after-school program for middle and high school youth to socialize, study, and be creative three afternoons a week. Hamline students serve as mentors and role models, working in partnership with area churches and community centers. McVay fellows and interns provide homework help, lead theme-based programming, plan recreation, and teach cooking, music, and crafts.
