Spanish
The Spanish program at Hamline introduces students to the
rich language and cultures of Spain and Latin America. Our courses are interactive,
challenging and fun.
Students
develop their speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills every step of the
way, from Beginning Spanish to the most advanced literature and culture
courses. Students who study abroad
in a Spanish-speaking country achieve even greater fluency and cultural
understanding, tremendous advantages both in the classroom and beyond.
Because the
curriculum is flexible, many of our students easily double major -- favorite
pairings include biology, global studies, business, legal studies, education, and Latin American Studies.
Spanish
majors are in demand locally and nationally and our graduates have gone on to
rewarding careers in government, social services, business, education, medicine, and the law.
