Hamline University professors Sam
Imbo, Suda Ishida, and Joe Peschek participated in an international workshop on
Trumping of America - How Populism Transforms Political Debates. The workshop was hosted at Universitat Trier, Germany on February 21-22, 2017. Communication studies senior Sarah Campbell was also given an
opportunity to present her research on Trump's refugee and immigrant
rhetoric. This is the third workshop,
co-sponsored by Hamline University’s Global Engagement Center and University of
Trier President's Office and International Studies Office. The workshops are aimed at sharing scholarly
knowledge about global political events and strengthening the decade-old
bilateral relationship between the two universities.
