• Affordability

More than 90% of students receive financial aid (scholarships, grants, loans, work-study) and 92% of students receive support directly from Hamline in the form of merit-based scholarships or need-based grants (or both). Hamline’s average financial aid package is $36,104 (2017-18).

Academic scholarships range from $3,000 to $23,000 and are renewable annually. Additional scholarship opportunities are available for students in college readiness programs, United Methodist students, Eagle Scout or Girl Scout Gold Award recipients, and students studying science, theater, music, art, art history, digital media arts, and writing. A competitively awarded full-tuition scholarship is also available for prospective Physics majors.

Hamline graduation assurance guarantees a student will earn a bachelor’s degree in four years or we’ll pay the difference. This could represent a potential savings of $40,000 to $60,000 in tuition and lost income.

Tuition and Fees (includes book rental program and orientation): $40,824
