    Student Employment Program

The Student Employment Program is managed by the Payroll Department; documentation you may need to be approved or paid will go through the Payroll office. Please be aware that a work study award does not guarantee you a job on campus. While this is a competitive process, the Career Development Center can assist you in finding on-campus positions and support you in applying (resume building, practice interviewing/interview tips, cover letter writing).

Students: To access work study positions at Hamline, please visit our job and internship database, Handshake. You can login with your current Hamline email and password. Once logged in, click the following:

    • "Jobs" at the top, left side of the page
    • "All Filters," the furthest right option beside the search bar
    • "Work study" check box

This will show any positions posted currently. You may also use this link! Interested in being notified about new on-campus jobs? Follow the Career Development Center and receive updates for new on-campus work-study positions.

Note: This feature is only available to current, undergraduate students.

Faculty & Staff: To share a work study position with students, you may email a description of the position to workshop@hamline.edu. Please use this template and sample position description to submit the required information.
