    Hamline’s Newsroom Team

At Hamline, we prepare students to be bold in pursuit of their goals and aspirations to lead the next generation. As Minnesota’s first university, we are deeply rooted in the liberal arts and its value in all areas of business, entrepreneurship, justice, government, arts, sciences and humanities.

Hamline’s news team within the Office of Marketing and Communications partners with the campus community including faculty, staff, alumni and students along with media, community leaders and influencers locally and nationally to tell the powerful stories of how Hamline University is taking the lead.

Hamline’s news is distributed in several places:

Hamline News page featuring profiles of students, alumni, faculty and staff sharing their stories and recognition of accomplishments. Whether it’s a feature story about Hamline’s latest national Truman Scholar or faculty research that’s getting national attention, we tell stories that reflect our signature Hamline spirit and build pride in our community’s accomplishments. If you have a story idea for Hamline News please submit using this form to mediarelations@hamline.edu

Inside Hamline is your link to what’s happening on campus right now. From student organized game nights at the Anderson Center to a Hamline hosted symposium on a pressing issue, Inside Hamline is the go-to place for campus events and information. Inside Hamline is available online and is published weekly on Mondays and distributed to Hamline e-mail accounts.

Social Media is another way we share Hamline accomplishments and stories. We’re Tweeting about what’s happening on campus on Twitter at @HamlineU and cheering on our athletic teams at @HUPipers. Hamline also on Facebook at Facebook.com/Hamline, Instagram at @HamlineU, and LinkedIn.

Local and National Media Hamline’s news team also works closely with local and national media on stories of local and national significance that reflect the values of our community. If you have a story idea that is of national significance or is uniquely Hamline contact us at mediarelations@hamline.edu

Hometown News Release More than 2,000 hometown news releases are sent each year on behalf of students each year to publicize their achievements. Hometown news releases announce various achievements such as when students make the dean's list and when students graduate. Students may grant permission during the admission process, during validation in the fall, or by downloading the form, printing it out, and mailing or emailing it to the university.
