• Commuter Connections

     

    The Hamline Commuter Connections gathering space is located in the lower level of West Hall (the former Law School Building). The commuter student staff maintains regular hours in the lower level area to serve as a resource for Hamline commuter students.

    Additionally, Hamline hosts an array of events throughout the year to foster an environment where students feel like they have a home away from home.

    Hamline Parking Policy

    Note: A parking permit is required in order to park in the campus lots between the hours of 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and Fridays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    All Hamline students are required to register their vehicle with Hamline Public Safety regardless of whether or not they plan to park in the campus parking lots. Please click on the link for more information about the Hamline Parking Policy.  

    METRO Transit

    Many Hamline students rely on public transit to travel to and from campus or as an inexpensive means to explore the Twin Cities. Hamline University is served by the following main bus lines: number 84 on Snelling Avenue, the A-Line (rapid transit bus) on Snelling Avenue and the number 67 on Minnehaha Avenue. Bus passes are available for purchase at the Cashiers Window located in Student Administrative Services in East Hall and cost $165 a semester for unlimited use.     Nice Ride

    Nice Ride is fast, easy, affordable and open to everyone. Simply take a bike when you need one, and return it to any station in the system when you arrive at your destination. Hamline has a Nice Ride station on Englewood Ave. near Sorin Residence Hall.

    HOURCAR

    HOURCAR is a nonprofit program that provides members with hourly access to a fleet of fuel-efficient vehicles. Once you become a member, you reserve any car you like in advance and drive it for as long as your reservation.

    St. Paul Smart Trips

    St. Paul Smart Trips is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that improves access and mobility for those who travel in and around St. Paul.

    Commuter Meal Plans

    Commuter students enrolled starting fall 2018 are automatically enrolled in $1o0 of Declining Balance (DB) which can be used at any campus dinning location. Students using DB receive a discounted price on their purchases. For more details about Hamline's meal plan options check out the Campus Dish! 

    Lockers

    Commuter Connections offers free lockers for commuter students in the lower level of West Hall. Locker contracts are available on a semester or academic year basis. Fill out the following form to request a locker.
