A screening of My Sweet Land is Sept. 23 at 2 p.m. in the Kay Fredericks Room in Klas Center. A Q&A and discussion with director Sareen Hairabedian follows the screening.
The film follows 11-year-old Vrej, who dreams of becoming a dentist while growing up in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). After war forces Vrej and his family to flee, he returns to a changed home and confronts the lasting effects of conflict. Check out the trailer
