Schramm co-authors papers on cognitive abilities of AI

Andreas Schramm, professor emeritus of Hamline School of Education and Leadership (HSEL), co-authored two papers “Mary, the Cheeseburger-Eating Vegetarian: Do LLMs Recognize Incoherence in Narratives?” and “Strong Memory, Weak Control: An Empirical Study of Executive Functioning in LLMs.”  These documents are part of an ongoing effort to understand the cognitive abilities of AI systems like ChatGPT.

They presented them at the European Chapter of the Association for Computational Linguistics conference in Morocco.
