Annie Ittner, assistant professor of elementary education, contributed a chapter to the third edition of Handbook of Research on Reading Comprehension, published by Routledge.
The chapter, Perspectives on Reading Comprehension for Multilingual Learners combines recent research on factors that influence reading comprehension for K-12 multilingual students.
The handbook is a revered text among reading researchers and is considered the “seminal research handbook on reading comprehension.”
The chapter is co-authored with Jackie Caires-Hurley of Western Oregon University and Annie Delbridge of Oregon State University.
