The 2026 Social Justice Symposium April 7-9 will honor the legacy of the late civil rights leader Jesse Jackson.
The symposium will kick off April 7 with a keynote address by scholar and historian Walter Greason, who will examine Jackson’s impact on American politics, leadership and the struggle for social and economic justice. The keynote will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Anderson Center, Rooms 111 and 112.
Throughout the week, additional programs, including a movie night, will celebrate Jackson’s life and legacy. The Hedgeman Center is hosting the event.
