Fox new book explores conflict from six angles

Ken Fox, professor in the School of Business, has published “Perspectives on Conflict: Insights for Professional and Personal Practice" (Bloomsbury Academic) on Jan. 8.

The book is written for both conflict practitioners and professional students. It examines conflict from six broadly interdisciplinary perspectives: the human body and somatics, the nonconscious mind, the strategic mind, language and symbols, the social process of meaning-making, and social structures that affect the conflict ecosystem.

ox wrote the book in conversational language to encourage readers to reflect on the many dimensions of conflict experience and how to better engage in constructive conflict practice. Amazon just ranked the book No.1 on its list of new releases in the category of arbitration, negotiation and mediation.
