Meet the HUSC members who represent you

Hamline Undergraduate Student Congress gathered at Anderson Center on Tuesday, Oct. 21, for the Meet the Representatives event, which gave the campus community an opportunity to meet the newly elected and returning Student Congress members. The event featured music, food, games and merch as students connected with their peers.

“There’s a lot of really awesome, really cool, passionate, hardworking representatives that we just got, and I am really excited to be able to work with them and see what we are able to do for this coming school year,” said Anabel Bradley, a second-year legal studies major and the internal president of HUSC.

Among the representatives is Kaitlynn Fuller, a second-year political science major and food and basic needs representative, who said she enjoys identifying student needs and proposing solutions through the resolution process. One resolution she hopes to pursue involves reinstating the ACTC bus line, which previously helped Hamline students who were crossed-registered take classes at other universities.

“There used to be a specific bus line that took students to those schools,” she said. “It would make things a lot easier for students who don’t have cars to get to their classes.”

First-year disability representative, Taylor O'Shea, an undeclared major, said she is focused on advocacy and inclusion. “I care a lot about accessibility on Hamline and really just making sure every student feels included and seen,” she said. "I hope to make a difference by just being a friendly face on campus to anyone and I really want to get the disability advocacy out there.”

For students interested in getting involved, the Hamline Undergraduate Student Congress meets every Tuesday for its general assembly and is open to all students.
