Trevor Block will join Hamline University as Vice President of Institutional Advancement on June 16, 2025.
Trevor brings more than 10 years of experience in development roles for educational institutions, having served most recently as the Chief Development Officer for the College of Health and Human Services at Western Michigan University Foundation in Kalamazoo. His prior roles include Director of Development for the Wisconsin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin Foundation in Madison and Director of Development and Annual Giving at Marian University in Fond du Lac, Wisc.
Trevor holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Mass Communications, as well as Spanish Language and Hispanic Studies, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In August, he will complete a master’s degree in business administration from Western Michigan University.
All who met Trevor during the interview process were impressed with his track record of success in fundraising and stewardship, as well as his enthusiasm for our future here at Hamline. President Hostetter interviewed three finalists for this role and watched videos of their on-campus presentations. She is excited about the work Trevor will do with all of you to cultivate philanthropic support for our mission.
Please join me in thanking the search committee, which was chaired by Cathy Wassberg, and expressing our gratitude to Trevor’s predecessor, Heidi Fisher. As you know, Heidi will be retiring on June 30 after four years of service as Vice President of Institutional Advancement.
Please look for opportunities to welcome Trevor Block to Hamline University when he arrives on campus next month.
